Podcast: Quentin Tarantino's Favorite Movies of 2013, Plus Buzz on 'Captain Phillips' and 'Machete Kills'

Those looking to ride the rush they felt after seeing Gravity last weekend can do so this weekend by going to see, well, Rush, which is still in theaters, but also Captain Phillips, an outstanding, adrenaline-inducing thriller based on the real-life story of a heroic captain who did all he could to save his crew and his ship's cargo when attacked by a gang of ruthless Somali pirates. On this week's Fancast movies podcast, our own Erik Davis and Sean O'Connell discuss Captain Phillips and some other great movies based on real-life stories. The fellas also try to make sense out of Quentin Tarantino's somewhat baffling list of his favorite movies of 2013, and we even manage to throw a bucket of campy, bloody love all over Machete Kills, in theaters this weekend.

As always, thanks so much for listening, and please let us know what you think of today's topics in the comments below.
