Paul Feig and Melissa McCarthy Talk 'Bridesmaids 2'

Nowadays whenever a movie rakes in the bucks at the box office, talk immediately turns to doing a sequel. We've already heard rumblings of sequels for Thor, a third Hangover, and even possibly another Step Brothers movie. A fifth Pirates movie has already been scripted and a sixth Fast and the Furious movie will hit theaters late next year. So it's no surprise that with the breakout success of Bridesmaids over the past couple of weekends that talk has turned to bringing the ladies back together for a sequel.

In an interview with New Yorker Magazine, director Paul Feig and Melissa McCarthy addressed the issue of doing a second Bridesmaids movie. When asked point blank, Feig responded, "It depends on how we do in the next couple of weeks, but I know there's definitely… it's already been brought up… When you get a group that's this deep and this good, it's a crime to not use them again."
McCarthy has already said that she's in for a second spin, saying, "I will show up wherever these guys tell me to go. If it's a play in their backyard, I will gladly do it. I'll do kids' parties for them, I'll do bar mitzvahs. I'm in."
For those worried that a second movie might ruin the magic of the first, Feig offers caution, saying, "You want to make sure you do it as well as you did the first one and try to make it better, even… We're up for the challenge."
So what do you think? Would you be interested in seeing the 'maids get together for a sequel or should this movie be one and done?
