On DVD/Blu-ray: 'Snow White and the Huntsman' Giveaway! Plus Don't Miss 'The Loved Ones' and 'Titanic' in High-Def 2D/3D

Snow White and the Huntsman Do you hear that? It's the sound of either Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen chewing--nay, devouring--the scenery, or audiences' jaws hitting the floor at the notion that glowering Kristen Stewart earns the title of "fairest in the land" over Ms. Theron. Either way, this movie is a hoot to watch Theron swirl and shout lines like "I shall give this wretched world the queen it deserves" to her weird, effeminate brother and the scene (movie?)-stealing seven dwarfs that offer a little relief from the grim proceedings. The effects and production and costume design are outstanding. Extras: Featurette "A New Legend Is Born," director commentary (DVD/BD); the BD adds a 360-degree set tour and three featurettes on reimagining the fairy tale, the citizens of the kingdom, and the movie's effects.

Win a copy! Enter to win one of three (3) BD/DVD combo packs by commenting below and telling us what you liked most about this movie in theaters, or why you most want to see it on DVD. Winners will be chosen at random Monday, Sept. 17, and notified via email with three days to respond before alternates are chosen. U.S. residents 18 and over, only.

What to Expect When You're Expecting Yet another entry in the advice book turned movie genre (when did that become a thing?) with an all-star cast (Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Dennis Quaid, Chris Rock) starring as couples in various stages of pregnancy with varying reactions to their situation. Extras: Two featurettes, "The Dudes Unscrewed" and "What to Expect and the Pregnancy Bible," deleted scenes (DVD/BD).

The Loved Ones
Australian director Sean Byrnes' little horror film about a spurned teenager and the revenge she and her dad take out on the guy who turns down her prom invite came out in his homeland two years ago, and sadly got a very limited release in the States this year. If you're a horror fan his take on the tortured-captive tale is a don't-miss; if you're a fan of good filmmaking in general you'll find this a pleasant surprise, with good acting, characters you like and unexpected twists--though it's certainly not for the squeamish. Extras: Unrated version, interviews with the stars and effects supervisor (DVD)

Titanic  Arguably the world's best-loved romance got a 3D release in April, and now makes its HD debut in 2D and 3D. Your options include a 4-disc 2D Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, or for you cinephiles equipped with a 3D TV, get the 3D combo pack. Extras: Both sets include a digital copy as well as 2-1/2 hours of new, never-released bonus footage that includes a deep dive into the film with director James Cameron and documentary footage produced by National Geographic. All previously released extras are included as well. Near, far, wherever you are, this set will keep your heart going on.
