'Not Fade Away' From 'Sopranos' Creator David Chase Gets Dark, Rockin' Trailer

Hard to believe that it has been five years since David Chase abruptly ended one of the best television shows of all time. Now the creator of The Sopranos is taking that notoriety and rolling it into his first feature film, Not Fade Away.

The film centers on a group of young men in 1960s New Jersey attempting to form a rock band and is currently playing at the New York Film Festival prior to its December 21 theatrical release.

James Gandolfini reunites with Chase and co-stars alongside Brad Garrett, Christopher McDonald, John Magaro, Jack Huston, Will Brill and Bella Heathcote.

Early feedback from NYFF finds that the film is either one audiences are going to love or feel completely detached to the dark comedic elements, though the general consensus is that Gandolfini gives another great performance alongside an excellent soundtrack. You can read more early reaction here.

What do you think of the trailer? Are you anticipating this movie with its rock and roll, coming of age storyline?
