Nick Jonas to Take Over for Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway

Nick Jonas is headed to Broadway to take over Daniel Radcliffe’s role in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Radcliffe is set to leave the production January 1, 2012, at which time Glee’s Darren Criss will fill the role for three weeks before Jonas starts his six-month run in the production.

We’ll now see if Business has been a Broadway hit because of Radcliffe’s name or if the musical comedy is actually worth the $52-$452 ticket price. Jonas has a long history with musical theater, including roles in A Christmas Carol, Les Miserables and Beauty and the Beast. He played Marius in the 25th Anniversary concert for Miserables in London.

Fans of the youngest JoBro know him better for his role in Disney’s Camp Rock movies and albums he collaborated on with brothers Kevin and Joe. Nick certainly has the experience to take over for Radcliffe, who will take a brief break before working on the indie comedy The Amateur Photographer, adapted from the book of the same title.

If you haven’t seen Business yet, will you rush to catch Radcliffe during his final months or are you more excited to see Nick take over?
