Next M. Night Shyamalan Project Announced

Though M. Night Shyamalan has not announced the next film he'll be directing, more word is beginning to leak out with regards to the next film in his "Night Chronicles" series. For those unaware, the "Night Chronicles" series will feature a selection of films that come from the mind of M. Night Shyamalan, like Devil, which hits theaters this weekend. These films aren't directed by M. Night, though he's producing them, and, in most cases, he also came up with the original idea the film is based on.

M. Night Shyamalan

The second such film in this series is called Twelve Strangers, and according to Deadline, Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) will direct off a script by Chris Sparling (Buried). Twelve Strangers will follow a group of people on a jury who are "haunted by supernatural forces while deciding the fate of an accused murderer." It seems similar to Devil in that we find a group of people in an everyday situation who are forced to deal with a supernatural power beyond their control. Once M. Night is finished with his series, he will have successfully scared us away from pretty much everything, from riding in elevators to jury duty. What's next? A supermarket that eats its customers? Hmmm …
Are you going to see Devil this weekend, or has the name M. Night Shyamalan left a bad taste in your mouth following disappointments like The Last Airbender and The Happening?
