News Briefs: See a New Photo of Chris Pratt from 'Jurassic World'


Jurassic World: Director Colin Trevorrow shared a new photo of Chris Pratt from Jurassic World, marking it with the caption: "See you next summer, Star-Lord." Pratt, of course, stars as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, which smashes into theaters today; Jurassac World comes to cinemas on June 12, 2015. [Twitter]

 

The Huntsman/The Mummy: The sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman now has an official release date (April 22, 2016), a confirmed director (Frank Darabont), and a new, official title: The Huntsman. Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron will return in starring roles. Universal Studios also announced that its reboot of The Mummy, to be directed by Alex Kurtzman, is moving from April 22 to June 24, 2016, marking it as a summer blockbuster. [SlashFilm]

 

What If: It's been three years since the last Harry Potter movie, but Daniel Radcliffe can still draw a crowd. His new romantic comedy What If was scheduled for a red-carpet premiere event at a shopping mall in Mexico City this week, but the event had to be canceled by the civil protection agency because "an unexpectedly large number of fans" showed up with the hope of seeing the star. Stonehearst Asylum Trailer: Ben Kingsley is featured in the first trailer for Stonehearst Asylum (formerly titled Eliza Graves). He's the head of an isolated institution, where med school graduate Jim Sturgess comes to work and quickly falls for patient Kate Beckinsale. And then Michael Caine shows up… Based on a story by Edgar Allan Poe, this looks like a very creepy movie; it's set to open on October 24. [Yahoo]
