News Briefs: Green Lantern Rumored for 'Batman v Superman'

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Dan Amboyer (above) will appear as a pilot named Lieutenant Christie in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and he may possibly be making his debut appearance as famed hero Green Lantern. In the comics, Green Lantern is also known as test pilot Hal Jordan; Amboyer commented: "They told me I couldn't say anything" about the character he plays and added: "I appreciate nature … and everything green." Salt: Angelina Jolie starred as a CIA agent accused of being a Russian spy in the terrific 2010 action-adventure Salt. The movie was a big success at the box office and a sequel was under consideration several years ago. Now, however, it's being developed as a potential television series. It's not known if any creative talent is attached to the project at this point, though it appears to be a certainty that Jolie will not be reprising her role. [The Wrap]



Predator: Back in June 2014, we heard that Shane Black (Lethal Weapon) would be developing a reboot of Predator, with Fred Dekker (Monster Squad) tapped to write the script based on Black's treatment. A new poster titled The Predator has now appeared on an official Facebook page, along with the tagline, "You'll never see him coming" and the comment: "Here we go again, bro." Speculation is rife that the script is complete and that the production will be moving forward, though nothing more official has been released. [JoBlo]
