News Bites: 'Star Wars' Casting and Production Hiatus

Star Wars Episode VII

Star Wars: Episode VII: More than 67,000 people responded to an open casting call for Star Wars: Episode VII late last year, and now two of those candidates have scored roles in the movie: Crystal Clarke, an American actress, and Pip Andersen, a British actor and "skilled practioner" of parkour. The production will also take a two-week hiatus during August while adjustments in the schedule are made to accommodate the recent injury of Harrison Ford. The movie is still on track to be released on December 18, 2015. []
