Blade Runner

Blade Runner 2: Recently Harrison Ford said he would be "quite curious and excited about seeing a new script" for a Blade Runner sequel, and said if it was good he would be "very anxious to work with [director] Ridley Scott again." Now he has been offered the movie officially --  but he still hasn't seen the script! So, let's all hope it's a good screenplay and that we'll soon be seeing Ford reprising his role as Rick Deckard. Marvel's Namor: The Sub Mariner

Namor: Legendary Pictures (the folks behind the new version of Godzilla) and Universal recently staked out November 4, 2016 as the release date for a movie they referred to as Untitled 2016 Event Project. Rumors began flying, and the biggest is that Namor: The Sub Mariner, a Marvel property for which Universal holds the screen rights, is the mystery project. The character has been described by Marvel as "the first mutant," a half-human, half-Atlantean antihero who can fly and has anger issues. [Latino Review]

Cinderella Teaser: Disney is about to release Maleficent, a live-action version of Sleeping Beauty starring Angelina Jolie, but it's already looking ahead to March 2015, when its live-action version of Cinderella will hit theaters. The first teaser has been released, and it reveals… a shoe. To be accurate, it's a spectacular-looking glass slippper, and it hints that magic may be afoot. Kenneth Branagh is directing; Lilly James stars as Ella, along with Cate Blanchett (as her evil stepmother), Richard Madden (as a dashing stranger) and Helena Bonham Carter. [Disney]
