News Bites: First Look at Hugh Jackman As Blackbeard

Hugh Jackman beard

Pan: Sometime after hosting the Tony Awards broadcast on Sunday night, Hugh Jackman shaved his head. It's for a good purpose: the actor will be portraying the villainous pirate captain Blackbeard in Joe Wright's Pan, an origin story for Peter Pan. Levi Miller, Rooney Mara and Garrett Hedlund also star; the movie is scheduled for release on July 17, 2015. [Empire]

Fury Teaser: The first official video from Fury mixes scenes from the movie with behind-the-scenes interviews. Brad Pitt stars as the leader of a "combat-fatigued" tank crew that goes on a dangerous mission behind enemy lines during the last days of World War II. Look for the movie in theaters on November 14. Batman exhibit

The Batman Exhibit: Batman is getting his own exhibit, though you'll have to go to Los Angeles to experience it for yourself. Six iconic Batsuits -- and a "wall of cowls" -- will be displayed in the Warner Bros. Museum, as well as a range of authentic costumes worn by heroes and villains in the Batman movie series. Prop weapons, the Bathammer, Bat-Pod and Tumber can also be seen as part of the VIP tour, and visitors will have a chance to send a Bat Signal. The exhibit opens on June 26 for a limited time. The Penguins of Madagascar

The Penguins of Madagascar: The first image of Benedict Cumberbatch from the upcoming The Penguins of Madagascar reveals that the actor is playing a secret agent. And, oh yes, this secret agent is a wolf. The spin-off from the animated Madagascar series, revolving around the titular penguins, as you would expect, also features John Malkovich, voicing a villainous octopus; it's due in theaters on November 26.
