Fast & Furious 7: Production on Fast & Furious 7, which was put on hold after Paul Walker died in an auto accident in November, has resumed. Director James Wan shared a photo to mark the occasion, captioned: "First day back filming. Better and stronger." The movie is scheduled for release on April 10, 2015. [EW.com]
The Pink Panther: The year 1963's The Pink Panther introduced two memorable characters: the titular animated big cat and the bumbling Inspector Clouseau, played by Peter Sellers. The movie spawned multiple sequels, TV shows and reboots with Roberto Benigni and Steve Martin. Now a live-action/animated hybrid version is under development, with animation veteran David Silverman (The Simpsons Movie) attached to direct an "international jewel-heist caper movie" that will revolve around a (nonspeaking) Panther, not the Inspector. I Am Chippendales: Ben Stiller is in talks to star in I Am Chippendales, the story of the male strip club that was established in 1979. Stiller would play a former choreographer who came up with the idea for the dance troupe and then helped expand it worldwide. Academy Award winner Alan Ball (American Beauty, TV's True Blood) will write, produce and direct. [Variety]
New Amazing Spider-Man 2 Clips: If you're itching for a larger taste of Marc Webb’s Spider-Man sequel before it swings into theaters on May 2, then these videos will be a highlight of your day.
The first one highlights Spidey web-slinging his way through the city, showcasing what is perhaps the most thrilling aspect of these new Spider-Man movies, not to mention how far special effects have come since Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy from just a few years ago.
The next clip, meanwhile, features Webb and Andrew Garfield talking about the script of the new film and character motivations, all while superimposing it over scenes from the upcoming movie. It touches on the Sinister Six, Gwen Stacy and the setup for the third feature. Oh yes, they're already making another one. [via IndieWire]
