News Bites: Dr. Doom Short List, New 'Transformers 4' Poster, 'Pretty Woman' Gets a Musical?

Who's on the short list to play the villainous Dr. Doom in the Fantastic Four? Sam Riley (Maleficent), Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables), Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and Domnhall Gleeson (About Time). The movie is scheduled for release on June 19, 2015. [MTV]

Kevin Hart apparently isn't busy enough, with five movies this year and (currently) four in the works for the next few years. He's now set to team with Jamie Foxx on Black Phantom, about a mob hit man who needs help from another paid assassin. [EW]

In Sony Pictures Animation news, don't expect to see Neil Patrick Harris in Smurfs 3. The franchise is getting an overhaul after Smurfs 2 disappointed and the new version will be completely animated under a new director. There's also a new Popeye movie on the books. Smurftastic? [The Wrap]

Chris McKay, animation codirector on The Lego Movie, will step up to take the directing reins on The Lego Movie sequel, which was in the works even before the first movie came out and is slated for release May 26, 2017. [Deadline]

And because a Broadway show about hookers makes perfect sense, Pretty Woman is getting the musical treatment, with the script being written by the movie's director, Garry Marshall, and screenwriter, J.F.
