Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: We've seen the first trailer for the new version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, produced by Michael Bay, but the movie, due out on August 8, is not quite finished yet. Johnny Knoxville (Bad Grandpa) and Tony Shalhoub (Bay's Pain & Gain) are late additions to the cast; they will be voicing the roles of Leonardo (one of the Turtles) and Splinter (teacher of the Turtles), respectively. The characters were played by other actors during filming. [Deadline]

The Hateful Eight: After his original screenplay was leaked, Quentin Tarantino shelved his plans to make a Western entitled The Hateful Eight. But he has not abandoned the project entirely; he will direct a live, staged reading of his script as a benefit for a film series at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Tickets for the "once-in-a-lifetime" event cost $200 and go on sale next week. [Film Independent via The Playlist]
