New Trailers: Smurfs, Scott Pilgrim, Voyage of the Dawn Treader

‘The Smurfs’ Gets a Teaser

We just brought you the film’s first image yesterday, and now we have the first teaser trailer for the brand new live-action/CG hybrid of The Smurfs, due in theaters in August, 2011. Since we’re still over a year out, there’s really not much to see here at all. Still, if you’re a fan of The Smurfs, then this cute little nugget may hold you over for now. Watch it below …

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World International Trailer

If you thought the domestic trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was cool, way till you get a load of this new international trailer, which tacks on a whole bunch of new footage and introduces us to some hilariously memorable lines of dialogue (“Scott, if your life had a face, I would punch it.”). Michael Cera stars as heroic slacker Scott Pilgrim, who, in order to win over the girl of his dreams, must defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends. The summer movie season should get a whole lot more livelier once this one hits theaters on August 13th.

‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader’ Trailer

The studio went back and forth regarding whether or not to continue making Narnia films, ultimately deciding to put out a third installment adapted from the classic C.S Lewis series. Directed by Michael Apted, Dawn Treader finds Lucy and Edward Pevensie returning to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian and join him onboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Naturally, this isn’t your typical Carnival cruise line, and along the way the kids encounter dragons, dwarves and mythical creatures before eventually reaching the edge of the world. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader hits theaters on December 10, and you can watch the film’s first trailer below .
