Two months and counting until the rebooted sequel to G.I. Joe hits theaters and today we get a look at the first full theatrical trailer. Chances are this will be attached to this weekend's screening of Safe as well as next week's The Avengers.
Rather than a bunch of witty punchlines and action sequences (don't worry, that's still in tact), the new trailer delves into the plot. Apparently there's a duplicate version of President Jonathan Pryce who is looking to destroy the world. We get a glimpse of an iffy CGI demolition of London as well as lots of The Rock and Bruce Willis. Channing Tatum also makes his first Retaliation appearance in the beginning, but then doesn't appear in the rest of the trailer and if you put two and two together, you can probably figure out what happens to his character.
Check out the new trailer below and sound off with your thoughts on G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which hits theaters June 29. Do you like what you see?
