New Still from 'The Hunger Games," Super Bowl Trailer, Facebook Game, World Premiere Tickets & Details on IMAX Theatrical Release


The upcoming adaptation of the young-adult sci-fi tale The Hunger Games is heading our way March 23, and in anticipation of the post-apocalyptic adventure, Rolling Stone has shared a new still from the film, and Yahoo has debuted its Super Bowl trailer (see below). Pictured above is a quiet moment shared between Lenny Kravitz as Cinna and Jennifer Lawrence as the story's young protagonist. The Hunger Games centers on the titular sadistic battle that forces two teens to battle it out to the death under the watch of Panem's twisted government leaders.

In other Hunger Games news, the film is getting a one week long IMAX release. The digitally re-mastered experience will allow fans of the popular book series to become fully immersed in the story's futuristic world. Meanwhile, If you're feeling antsy for that March theatrical date, THR is reporting that a new social media Facebook game is being issued soon. The Hunger Games Adventures will allow fans to explore Panem, complete missions in the Districts and Capitol, and interact with characters from the book. You'll also be able to see an official map of Panem. Expect several chapter expansions to keep things interesting.
