New Red-Band 'Kick-Ass 2' Trailer Shows Off New Footage

All eyes may be on Superman right now, but in a couple of months, another group of superheroes will take to the big screen. Well, OK, to call the characters in Kick-Ass 2 "superheroes" is a bit of a stretch, but Universal isn't resting on its laurels.

Over the weekend, a new international trailer arrived online showcasing new footage and more of Christopher Mintz-Plasse's crudely named villain character. In fact, it's this character's name alone that ensures the movie an R-rating and kicks this new uncensored trailer into the red-band category.

This new international trailer also confirms that the final sequence between the good and bad "costumed freaks" does not take place in Times Square as shown in the comic version. We also get more Jim Carrey and a brief look at an opening sequence beat down on Kick-Ass.

Kick-Ass 2 hits theaters August 16. Watch the new trailer below, but be warned it's NSFW due to the aforementioned villain's name.
