New Pics and Minor Plot Details Revealed for 'Prometheus'

Sci-fi fans rejoice! Entertainment Weekly has released new images from Ridley Scott's upcoming Prometheus. The images feature known names including Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron and Idris Elba as well as upcoming talent Noomi Rapace and Logan Marshall-Green. And a giant stone head.

It's this head that's raising an entirely new crop of questions, including, quite plainly, what the heck is it? Maybe it means nothing, maybe it's just set decoration. Perhaps it’s a new element in the Alien movie universe? While Scott has not said that the movie is an Alien prequel, he certainly hasn't denied and has gone as far as to say that the final eight minutes, "will tie into Alien DNA."

Fassbender added that, "There's definitely a link to Alien. There's creatures in it that you'll recognize."

So as you count down to the June 8, 2012 release, take a look below and let us know what you think of these latest Prometheus pics, and what's up with the giant head?
