As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Fandango has partnered up with this week's opening film Motherhood and Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to help fight against this deadly and devastating disease.
Here's how it works. For the first two weeks of the movie's opening (from October 23rd to November 6th, 2009), $1 of every Motherhood ticket sold on Fandango will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. The $1 donation is automatic and doesn’t cost moviegoers a penny!
The movie itself is a comedy co-starring Uma Thurman, Anthony Edwards and Minnie Driver, about the trials and tribulations of being a mom. Thurman plays Eliza Welch, a former fiction writer-turned-mom-blogger with her own site, "The Bjorn Identity."
Putting her other ambitions on hold, she lives and works for her kids while her good-natured but absent-minded hubby (Edwards) seems a little tuned out to his wife’s conflicts. Best friend Sheila (Minnie Driver) stands by to offer support and empathy.
