Though we've seen stranger events staged in movie theaters over the years, one of the most "interesting" re-releases of the year is taking place this weekend when Summit Entertainment sends The Twilight Saga: Eclipse back into theaters in honor of Bella's birthday, September 13th, 1987. Her vampire birthday, however, also conveniently falls on September 10th, so no matter which Bella birthday you want to celebrate, you'll get to do just that in 1,197 theaters across North America. Head over to the film's Fandango page to find out where it's screening in your neck of the woods.
More on 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' Re-Release Plus DVD News
For those who can't hit the theater this weekend for a return trip to Forks, Washington, some deets on the upcoming Eclipse DVD have started to creep online. MTV's NextMovie blog reports (unofficially) that Summit will release multiple editions of Eclipse on both DVD and Blu-ray on December 4th. The two-disc special edition will include commentary tracks from Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Stephenie Meyer, plus deleted scenes, extended scenes, a photo gallery, music video and more. No word on how much they will cost just yet, but the good thing is you have plenty of time to start saving those pennies starting … now.
Will you be returning to theaters this weekend to see The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, or will you wait for DVD? (Or maybe you're doing both?)
