Minions Hit Manhattan for 'Despicable Me 2' Promo Tour and Macy's Day Parade

Thanksgiving is just days away and along with the family get-togethers and kick off of holiday shopping is the annual tradition that is the Macy's Day Parade. Now in its 87th year, the annual parade makes its way down Central Park West and Sixth Avenue in New York City and features a number of bands, performers and one-of-a-kind giant balloons.

During the past few years, Despicable Me's ubiquitous Minions have been one of the fan-favorite floats to makes its way through the parade route and with Despicable Me 2 arriving on DVD and Blu-ray December 10, the Minions are taking over Manhattan.

The Despicable Me 2 Blu-ray will also feature three new Minion shorts including Panic in the Mailroom. Check out a brief teaser below.

To celebrate the film's digital HD release on November 26, the Minions will be touring around Manhattan in the Minion Mobile on Monday the 25th and giving away free goodies along the way.

Here's a rundown of the stops the Minion Mobile will be making. Minion Monday begins at 8 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m.

Magnolia Bakery – 200 Columbus Circle

Magnolia will be serving specially created Minion cupcakes to mark the visit.

FAO Schwatrz – 767 Fifth Avenue

The Minions will visit the Minion statue located at the iconic toy store.

Gray Line "Ride of Fame" Dedication Ceremony – Pier 78

The Minions will be inducted into Gray Line's "Ride of Fame" and ride off on their very own bus.

Other stops will include Times Square, the Theater District, Rockerfeller Center/NBC Store, Central Park and the day will conclude at the Macy's Department Store.
