Matt Damon, Neill Blomkamp Talk 'Elysium,' Heath Ledger and Big Bird, Plus Watch the New Extended Trailer

Next weekend will finally see the release of Elysium starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster. The sci-fi action drama with a socioeconomic message is the sophomore Hollywood effort from District 9 writer-director Neill Blomkamp.

For those who caught The Wolverine last weekend, you got a glimpse at the latest trailer for the film and now, an extended version clocking in at almost four-minutes long has arrived online and looks fantastic. Take a look below.

Damon, Foster and frequent Blomkamp collaborator Sharlto Copley joined the director in a recent EW interview to talk about the film and how it all came together. Damon is featured on the cover and the site also shows off six exclusive "supersized" pics from the movie. The issue, currently on newsstands, also includes sidebars with the stars, Damon's mech-warrior suit and some of the technology seen in the film.
