Paul Blart rides again in Mall Cop 2! It’s been five years since the first Paul Blart: Mall Cop and this time he’s heading for Las Vegas for the Security Guard Expo with his daughter in tow. Hilarious action and adventure are sure to occur, so why not bring home some of the hijinks and make a DIY Paul Blart puppet!
Complete with walkie-talkie, badge and signature Segway, this little puppet is ready to go to the mall with you and out on patrol!
You’ll need:
1 brown lunch bag
1 piece peach felt
1 piece brown felt
1 piece white felt
1 piece black felt
1 piece yellow felt
1 piece blue felt
two, 1-½ inch craft eyes
1 black pipecleaner
1 toilet paper roll
scissors
Tacky glue
Face:
- Place the bag flap up. Start with the face by cutting the peach felt to fit the bottom flap of the bag, approximately 5”x3”. Glue the piece down.
- Cut two ears and glue to the sides of the flap.
- For the hair, cut a piece of the brown felt approximately 5”x3/4” and glue that across the top part of the flap.
- Glue down the two eyes and add pieces for the eyebrows and mustache, cut from the brown felt.
Body:
- For the body cut a piece of white felt 5”x9” and glue down the to bag. This will go under the face flap.
- Cut and glue two triangle for the collar, followed by a ¾”x9” strip for the tie and a trapezoid shape for the knot.
- For the arms cut out two pieces of peach felt approximately 1-1/4:” x 3”. Glue just the top ends down.
Accessories:
- Cut the toilet paper roll in half. Cover with black felt and glue down onto the white base of the shirt, over the tie.
- Cut another piece of black felt and glue the top onto the toilet paper roll and the bottom to the end part of the bag. The arms will rest on the toilet paper roll.
- Make a small badge out of yellow and blue felt and secure onto the right of the shirt.
- Cut out a small square to represent the walkie-talkie and glue to the left of the shirt. For the cord, wrap the pipe cleaner around a pencil to get the curl and glue to the walkie-talkie and the underside of the bag.
