We've been waiting for this bundle of joy since 2004—when the last installment of the Focker franchise opened. Little Fockers is rapidly maturing at Universal, but director Jay Roach of the first two Fockers films has his hands full with DreamWorks' Dinner for Schmucks. Roach will reportedly pass his $800 million-making baby on to another helmer, possibly comedy great Paul Weitz (In Good Company, About a Boy), David Wain, who directed buddy film Role Models, or Peyton Reed, who recently directed Jim Carrey in Yes Man.
Roach will still produce Little Fockers, which is expected to center on the children of Ben Stiller's and Teri Polo's characters. Robert De Niro and Owen Wilson – the last of whom could have an expanded role here – are also in negotiations to star.
