J.K. Rowling To Appear on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'


J.K. Rowling, author of the popular Harry Potter books-turned-movie franchise sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an exclusive interview that is scheduled to air Friday, Oct. 1. Oprah, who flew to Scotland to conduct the interview, discusses a number of topics ranging from Rowling’s battle with depression, how she’s adjusted to her fame and critics, her expectations for Deathly Hallows and an offer she once received from the late Michael Jackson.
Rowling also touches upon the topic of whether she will write another Harry Potter book. The Harry Potter book series has sold more than 400 million copies worldwide and Forbes recently estimated Rowling’s wealth at around $1 billion.
