Jessica Alba Joins 'Little Fockers'

Just when you thought she disappeared from the planet earth, Jessica Alba has returned to co-star in Little Fockers, the third installment in the ultra popular (and very successful) Meet the Parents franchise. According to The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Biz blog, Alba is in talks to join the comedy as a hottie pharmaceutical rep whose looks drive the male characters wild. Seeing as Ben Stiller's character is a male nurse, one imagines Alba will be in direct contact with him and in full-on seduction mode.

Production on the film is set to begin in just a couple of months from now, with Stiller, Robert DeNiro, Teri Polo and Owen Wilson set to return. Little Fockers is said to pick up where Meet the Fockers left off, with Gaylord Focker (Stiller) and Pamela Byrnes (Polo) expecting their first child. However, online rumors suggest it won't just be one child, but twins! [Cue the suspenseful "Oooohs" and "Ahhhhs" from the peanut gallery.] And since the whole family angle may turn off the highly targeted male teen audience, Alba's sexy, seductive presence could help rope those dudes in.
Personally, I'm not a very big fan of Jessica Alba, and the way I see it her comedic track record speaks for itself. Good news here is she'll be playing a side character whose only job (it seems) is to look good. That, I think, she can handle. What do you think? Are we still fans of Jessica Alba? Or has her time in the spotlight vanished?
