Jason Statham Turns Down 'Fast Six'

Any thoughts of seeing a three-way throw-down between Vin Diesel, The Rock and Jason Statham in Fast and the Furious 6 will have to be put on hold. Following lengthy negotiations with Universal, Twitch now confirms that Statham and the studio just couldn't agree to terms.

Director Justin Lin is looking to shoot the sixth and seventh movie in the franchise, back-to-back, with the story leap frogging over to Europe for the two installments. Fast Six has already locked down Memorial Day 2013 weekend (May 24, 2013) as its release date. Presumably Fast Seven would be released the following year.

Are you bummed that Statham won't be a part of Fast Six?
