Jamie Foxx Electrifies in Latest 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' Image

Don’t touch that!
Sony Pictures released a new photo of Oscar winner Jamie Foxx in character as Max Dillon from next summer’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Knowing that Dillon transforms in the villainous Electro, it’s our best guess that this is the last moment in Max’s normal life. Don’t you just wish he could pull his hand back, and save himself a lifetime or trouble?
The image follows a weekend event on Sony’s studio lot where Foxx, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone hosted international press and select Spidey fans for an ASM 2 celebration. Twelve minutes from Webb’s sequel were screened for those in attendance, and event goers got to play on an upside-down “set,” which Foxx shared via Twitter.
We don’t know what was shared in the footage… but we might not have a long as we thought to wait to find out. Rumors said that the first full trailer for Spidey 2 would be attached to The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug on December 13. And that might still be the case. But news coming out of the weekend suggested that the trailer will reach the Internet on December 5. So hold out hope, Spidey fans, that we only have a few more days to hold out to see our favorite hero in action – in trailer form, at least.
Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is preparing to kick off the summer 2014 season. It costars Garfield and Stone in the roles they originated in Webb’s initial film. Foxx joins the fray as Eletro, while we’ll also meet Paul Giamatti’s Rhino and Dane DeHaan’s Harry Osborn… who might have a bit of a Goblin in his future.
Stay tuned for more Spider-Man 2 news as it hits our desks!
