James Cameron Reveals 'Avatar 2' and 'Avatar 3' Details

Sitting down for an interview for ABC’s Nightline, James Cameron revealed details for Avatar 2 and 3.

Cameron said that he was writing both scripts together and that much of this next sequel will take place underwater. He also revealed that there will be new planets in these next two films in the franchise. Cameron added that the next two movies will complete a three-film story arc.
"We will see the oceans of Pandora, which we haven’t seen at all. That is an eco-system that I am dying to design."
Cameron lauded his team of artists who he credited with creating the imaginative worlds and creatures that appear on the screen.
'I get to image things at a fuzzy level then I bring in a lot of great artists. They come up with all the amazing creatures and plants."
The environmental aspects of the first film will be pushed more aggressively in the second movie.
"This is a continuation of the same story at a greater level. I want people to feel that same sense of excitement about this world, and the fictional Na’vi people."
You can watch the full interview below.
Avatar 2 is scheduled for a 2014 release with Avatar 3 arriving in 2015.
