It's 2,500 Tons of Awesome in New 'Pacific Rim' Trailer

In case you weren't able to make it down to Wonder Con last month and see the new Pacific Rim trailer, WB has released it this morning.

Director Guillermo del Toro had originally stated that the trailer would only be shown at Wonder Con and Cinema Con, but I guess releasing the trailer for the masses can't hurt, especially since the crowds reacted so positively to the new footage.

In its simplest form Pacific Rim is a robots versus monsters action movie. Yes there's human actors including Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, RInko Kikuchi and Charlie Day in the cast, but the real stars are the giant robots and monsters born from del Toro's expansive imagination.

Up until now the film was getting so-so buzz. Perhaps this is the trailer that will push it over the edge and make it a solid summer movie contender.

Take a look below and tell us what you think.
