'Inception' Teaser Trailer – What Did You Think?
… waiting …
Done? Okay, cool. So, yeah, what in the world is up with that thing? We've got silver spinning tops, water moving sideways and two guys fighting on the walls and ceiling of a hallway? Now all we need is Keanu Reeves bending a spoon and it's The Matrix all over again! However, something tells me Nolan – who wowed audiences with The Dark Knight last year – will bring something totally new and refreshing to the table with Inception, even though the couple seconds of a fight scene did look very Matrix-like. Fans of The Dark Knight, though, should be happy to see some of that same familiar cityscape imagery and creepy score considering the same guys (Wally Pfister and Hans Zimmer) returned to work with Nolan on Inception, bringing with them a similar sense and style.
All that's on record regarding story right now is that it takes place within the architecture of the mind. Rumors suggest the central plot will be about mind control, and will follow a group of people using it to plant and/or retrieve information from others. Judging by this first trailer, it wouldn't seem too far-fetched to say that rumored plotline could be at the very least partially correct. One thing is definitely for sure: this sucker has a fantastic cast, which includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and Cillian Murphy.
What did you think of the teaser trailer? Does it look cool? Any guesses as to what it's really about?
