If 'Despicable Me 2' Isn't the Top Domestic Animation Opening Ever, What Is?

Despicable Me 2 arrived in theaters over the holiday weekend and wiped out the competition tallying $143.1 million over five days (7/3-7/7) at the domestic box office. It added another $151 million from the foreign box office for a worldwide total of $294.2 million.
