It's been a while since the last Hobbit production blog from director Peter Jackson and with the release of a new behind-the-scenes sneak peek, we decided to gather together a bunch of Hobbit goodies for you beginning with Production Diary #12.
The latest production diary originally aired as part of the Hobbit Worldwide Fan event last week and included a bunch of bloopers, more filming and a lot of postproduction work. Check out the new three-minute trailer that also screened during the event.
Moving along like dwarves in a barrel, the latest behind-the-scene featurette has arrived and the focus is on Beorn's house. Who is Beorn? Well, as Ian McKellen puts it, he's "a man who is sometimes a bear or a bear who is sometimes a man." He's otherwise known as skin changer who has a propensity of becoming hairy.
Take a look at the massive set that, um, dwarfed the entire cast and crew. The video is courtesy of Dennys, which has brought back its Hobbit-themed menu items including Smaug's Fire Burger and Bard's Pumpkin Pie Milkshake.
Meanwhile, the latest round of Hobbit posters brings us six new French character sheets and another large banner featuring Bilbo, Bard, Tauriel and Legolas. Click on each for larger versions.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug arrives in theaters on December 13.
