Are you one of those people who have to buy the extra large popcorn and drink prior to watching a movie, only to find yourself in excruciating bathroom-related pain halfway through the flick? This always happens to me, and I desperately try to hold it while I wait for what I think might be the most opportune time to go (“Hmm, they’re talking about cupcakes for the next five minutes – maybe I can go … now!”).
Well, good news is someone actually created a website called RunPee, which looks to be a sort of Wikipedia-like, user-generated database of movies alongside charts that show you when the best time to go to the bathroom is. By clicking on the title of a film, you'll see a timeline that displays the running time and tells you exactly which minute (or minutes) are best used for a visit to the can. RunPee will also describe the exact scene if you want them too, though because of spoilers you have to physically click the unscramble button to read it.
The only thing we've found annoying about RunPee is that they currently don't have a mobile app – and since most folks will use this on the go, right before a film is about to start (or somewhere around there), a mobile app would work real well. According to an update on their site, they may be getting an iPhone app by the end of June … just in time for the July and August summer movies, and plenty of time before those three-hour awards contenders in the fall and winter.
