Is the final chapter in the Harry Potter franchise ripping a page out of the Twilight handbook? Much has been said about how the Twilight Saga is fond of letting their leading men run around with no shirts on. Well, now, the folks behind what some consider to be Twilight's biggest competition are looking to take things one step farther.
Harry Potter Naked? Do Tell!
Speaking to press about the two-part franchise finale, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, director David Yates claimed that Mr. Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) would be appearing in a scene, sans clothes. Says Yates, "There is another scene in King's Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene, he will also be naked." Seems a little odd to feature Harry Potter naked in a scene, though keep in mind this will most likely be a PG-13 film, and so while Harry will be naked, audiences won't be able to see his private parts (drats!).
Nope, for that they'll have to find video of Radcliffe's recent Broadway performance in the play Equus. The actor appeared naked in one scene and caused quite the stir online. Chances are his next nude scene in an actual Potter film will create some buzz, but will it be the right buzz?
What do you think? Does Harry need to be naked? Are they trying to one-up the Twilight franchise? Sound off below with your thoughts.
