Though most fans were highly critical of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, that's apparently not stopping Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford from moving forward on a fifth installment. Of course nothing official has been announced … yet, though word is beginning to leak out online that the men are hard at work on a new sequel.
Last month Shia LaBeouf told the BBC that Spielberg had "cracked a story" on Indiana Jones 5 and that he believed they were "gearing that up." Now, The Insider (not the most reliable of sources, but we'll go with it) say that Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role as the title character for one last time, with production on the film to begin next year in the hopes of releasing it in theaters no earlier than 2011. That means Ford, who turns 67 this month, could be approaching 70 (!) by the time the movie hits theaters.
I'm not sure what kind of crazy, whip-wielding stunts Ford can pull off at 68 or 69-years-old, but he was in his mid-60s when he filmed Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and so obviously he still has it in him to beat up bad guys. Perhaps Shia Labeouf will take on most of the action this time around – who knows …
Would you want another Indiana Jones film? If so, what would you want it to be about?
