'Hangover' Follow-Up: Todd Phillips' 'Due Date' Gets a Trailer

'Due Date'The first trailer for Todd Phillips' Due Date has arrived online via Yahoo Movies!, and is it just me or does it feel like Phillips is sorta remaking not only his own films with this, but also somewhat remaking Planes, Trains and Automobiles, the classic John Hughes movie? Hey, I guess it's not such a bad thing if audiences continue to eat it up (truth: the trailer did make me chuckle out loud more than once), though I will say that if he overuses Zach Galafianakis in the same Tom Green-esque role over and over again, audiences are gonna tire of the guy real quickly.

In Due Date, Galafianakis seems like he's playing the same character from The Hangover, only this time he's someone trapped on a road trip with Robert Downey Jr.'s straight-laced, no-nonsense meany. Apparently Downey Jr.'s character needs to get home to see his kid being born, while Jamie Foxx pops up looking all badass for reasons we do not know.

Is this another surefire hit for Phillips, or do you think his films are becoming too predictable and too much like his previous movies? Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think…
