Golden Globes Winners: 'American Hustle,' 'Gravity' and '12 Years a Slave' Gain Momentum

The Academy announces its nominations on Thursday, Jan. 16, and films like Gravity, Dallas Buyers Club, Her and, especially, American Hustle picked up momentum with wins in top categories at the 2014 Golden Globes. Alfonso Cuaron grabbed a Directing trophy. Leonardo DiCaprio surprised a few when he took home the Globe for Comedy or Musical. (Who knew The Wolf of Wall Street was either?)
After a parade of beauty on the Globes’ red carpet (see our Globes gallery, backstage quotes, plus a recap of live updates @Fandango, and more awards videos on FrontRunners), Tina Fey and Amy Poehler guided audiences through a slew of awards for the best in movies and television.
