It's been a busy day for fanboy news and now we've got an announcement regarding Entertainment Weekly's Capetown Film Fest at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. The week-long festival will feature guest appearances by various directors and actors from respective films and tickets can be purchased here on Fandango!

May 1, 7:30 p.m. - Shaun of the Dead with Q&A with Edgar Wright after the film
May 1, 10:30 p.m. – Scott Pilgrim vs. The World with Q&A with Edgar Wright after the film
May 2, 7:30 p.m. – The Thing with Q&A with John Carpenter before the film
May 3, 7 p.m. – Escape from New York with Q&A with Kurt Russell after the film. Screening will also include advanced look at Season 3 premiere of TNT's Falling Skies with Noah Wyle and cast members in person. (Currently sold out, get there early for stand-by line)
May 4 – May the 4th Be With You during three screenings of Return of the Jedi at 2 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. (Currently sold out, get there early for stand-by line)
May 5, 1 p.m. – Coraline with Q&A with Neil Gaiman and Travis Knight after the film
May 5, 4 p.m. – The Goonies with Q&A with Richard Donner after the film
May 5, 8 p.m. – Twleve Monkeys with Q&A with Terry Gilliam after the film
May 6, 7:30 p.m.- Star Trek (2009) with Q&A with Leonard Nimoy after the film (Currently sold out, get there early for stand-by line)
All tickets are $11 for general admission, $9 for seniors and students. American Cinematheque members will get exclusive first opportunity to purchase tickets at $7. Sold out shows will have a stand-by line for additional tickets as they are released and will be first come, first serve.
