Gerard Butler Rescues the White House in 'Olympus Has Fallen' Trailer, Poster

The White House is going to be the target of terrorists in 2013 … at least, on the big screen in our nation’s multiplexes.

Two tentpoles will focus on attacks on Washington, D.C.’s most famous residence. The first, Olympus Has Fallen, stars Gerard Butler as a Secret Service agent assigned to the president (Aaron Eckhart) who must snap into action when well-armed thugs launch an attack on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
FilmDistrict released the first trailer and poster for the new movie, which co-stars Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Dylan McDermott and Ashley Judd. The movie opens in theaters on March 22 … which gives it a jump-start over Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx’s similar White House Down, coming to theaters on June 28.
For now, here are the promo items on Olympus. What do you think about Butler’s return to action, and the effects work being used to take down the White House?
