George Lucas-Produced War Movie 'Red Tails' Gets Trailer, Release Date

While George Lucas continues to figure out how to get his live-action Star Wars TV show going, today we get our first look at Red Tails, a World War II movie centered on the first African-American military air squadron, the Tuskegee Airmen.

Cuba Gooding Jr. starred in the 1995 TV movie The Tuskegee Airmen and stars here alongside Terrance Howard, Bryan Cranston and Daniela Rush. The fighter squadron features Ne-Yo, Method Man and Michael B. Jordan, among others.
While the movie certainly looks promising, LucasFilm is dumping it in the wasteland of terrible movies that is January. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know if you’d be interested in checking this film out January 20, 2012.
