Fun Finds: Christian Bale Sings Powerpuff Girls and 2010: The Cinescape

While promoting The Fighter, ABC sat down with Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg for an interesting little conversation that somehow ended with Bale singing the Powerpuff Girls theme song and Wahlberg recreating his "You’ve Got the Touch" moment from Boogie Nights. Fans of Bale will remember that early on his career he starred in the movie-musical Newsies, and though the actor has since swore off ever starring in another musical, at least he still takes the time to entertain those of us who’d love to see him belt out a tune … or several.

Meanwhile, the end of the year has once again brought a number of YouTube videos from amateur editors looking back at the year that was in cinema. Matt Shapiro is one of those editors, and each year he provides a video called The Cinescape featuring many of the films that arrived in theaters over the past 12 months. This year’s video, titled 2010: The Cinescape, is no different. Set to The Killers’ "A Dustland Fairytale," it’s videos like this that tingle your heart and somehow find a way to make you forgive the less than favorable films in light of celebrating cinema as a whole. Another fun year in the books – here’s hoping 2011 kicks it up a notch.
