From 'Kick-Ass' to Quicksilver, Aaron Johnson Emerges As Front-runner for 'Avengers 2' Role

While the fanboy community continues to argue about the pros and cons of including Quicksilver in Avengers 2, it appears that a front-runner has emerged to play the character on the big screen.

The Wrap reports that Aaron Johnson, best known for playing the title role in Kick-Ass, is being considered for the role of Quicksilver.

Quicksilver is one of two new characters that director Joss Whedon is introducing in the sequel. The character is also reportedly appearing in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past. Last month, Singer tweeted that Evan Peters would be playing the character in X-Men.

Do you like Johnson for the role of Quicksilver in Whedon's Avengers sequel?
