First Pics from 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Arrive As Film Gets Bumped Out of 2014

It seems nothing has come easy for Universal's planned adaptation of the kinky runaway best seller Fifty Shades of Grey. While the film has finally set its two leads in Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, Universal and Focus Features have decided to push back the release date from its original August showdown with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy to Valentine's weekend 2015 (February 13, 2015 to be exact).

The date shift makes sense given the recent recasting of Dornan who filled in after Charlie Hunnam vacated the lead role. Valentine's weekend also makes sense for the genre itself and fits better with the marketing angle of the film.

Dornan and Johnson will grace the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly and the magazine managed to get a photo session with the two on-screen lovers. Take a look below.
