First Official Image from ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’

I believe this image went around a month or two ago when it was featured in some magazine preview, but Summit Entertainment has finally released it to the masses in glorious hi-res and it’s definitely a beauty. The first official image from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse features Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) sitting in a field of flowers and staring into each other’s eyes in a moment that more than likely ends with them, like, totally making out and stuff.

The good thing for you fans thirsty for more Twilight is that you won’t have to wait a whole year before Eclipse swings into theaters. The next chapter in this four-part franchise will debut in theaters on June 30th, marking Twilight’s first go-round during the very busy (and blockbustery) summer movie season. In the film, directed by David Slade, Bella will find herself having to choose between her beloved vampire lover Edward and that other werewolf-like dude, Jacob. What happened to simply crushing on the human kid from math class?
Well, despite the fact that Bella has some really freaky taste in men, David Slade is probably the series’ most accomplished genre director so far – and so I’ll be real curious to see what this movie looks like. Based on this image, it’s looking kinda pretty … but something tells me the images will become increasingly darker as time carries on.
What do you think of the first official image? Excited? Apprehensive? Little of both?
