First 'Man of Steel' Trailer in Theaters this Weekend, and We've Got Details on One of the Film's Action Scenes

According to reports, Warner Bros. will have the first official teaser for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel attached to prints of The Dark Knight Rises this weekend, giving Superman fans an anticipated look at next summer’s blockbuster. Snyder brought Man of Steel footage to Comic-Con last weekend, and from what we’re hearing, this trailer will use some (but not all) of that footage, as well as some new images.
What will fans see?
Based on what was shown in San Diego, we’ll likely open with images on the Kent’s Smallville farm. There will be the suggestion of a school bus crash, and young Clark’s intervention (which prevents several children from dying). We’ll get images of Henry Cavill flying in his Superman suit, and quick shots of co-stars Amy Adams and Michael Shannon. We’ll get voiceover by Russell Crowe (playing Jor-El) and Kevin Costner (playing Jonathan Kent).
And, if we’re lucky, we’ll get Superman fighting.
It has been the biggest complaint about the Superman movies, to date. We’ve yet to see our beloved blue boy scout beat the living daylights out of an opponent. According to Bleeding Cool, though, Snyder and Cavill have a big fight scene in store for the movie. They describe it as a scene where Superman tears a building apart, and uses chunks of the building as weapons. The trusted source spoke to the site while at Comic-Con, and said Supes will use "girders as throwing stars."
Snyder has been promising an action-heavy Superman movie. Man of Steel may deliver. We’re dying to see the trailer this weekend … as if we needed any more reason to see The Dark Knight Rises in theaters.
