First Look: Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman, John Cusack, Matthew McConaughey in 'The Paperboy'

John Cusack with a bloody machete, Nicole Kidman channeling white trash… suddenly Lee Daniel's thriller The Paperboy is starting to look interesting. Based on Pete Dexter's 1995 novel, The Paperboy follows a reporter (Matthew McConaughey) and his young brother (Zac Efron) who investigate the events surrounding a murder in order to exonerate a man on death row (John Cusack).

The film was selected to compete in this year's Cannes Film Festival and though no U.S. release date has been pegged yet, we should be seeing a trailer very soon. For now, take a look at the 20 first look images below which include Nicole Kidman, Scott Glenn and David Oyelowo and let us know if you might want to check this movie out.
