First Look: Jake Abel as Ian O'Shea in Stephenie Meyer's 'The Host'

It seems like we're getting a heavy dose of Stephenie Meyer this week. Yesterday saw 10 new images from Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part II arrive courtesy of Entertainment Weekly and today, we get a couple of first look images of Jake Abel as Ian O'Shea in the other Meyer book being adapted to film, The Host.

In the book, O'Shea is one of the rebel humans whose prejudice against the souls has driven him to a point in time where almost kills Wanda. He eventually has a change of heart and believes that Wanderer is an innocent girl who does not deserve to be punished simply because she inhabits Melanie's body. For people who haven't read the novel, no part of those last two sentences made any sense, but you can catch up on the various characters and storylines in The Host Wiki Page.

The Host hits theaters March 29, 2013 and stars Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger, Max Irons, William Hurt and Jake Abel.
