First Look: Dori, Nori and Ori from 'The Hobbit'

Even though the first Hobbit movie doesn’t arrive in theaters for a year and a half, it seems the filmmakers are insistent on making sure fans approve of what they’re doing with the individual characters. Fine by us, since now we can share yet another pic from the upcoming Peter Jackson epic.

This time, instead of Martin Freeman or Ian McKellan striking a new pose as Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf, respectively, we get our first look at Nori, Dori and Ori, three brothers played by Jed Brophy, Mark Hadlow and Adam Brown. The trio is featured most prominently in The Quest of Erebor, an adventure which takes place before events in The Hobbit in which Gandalf organizes the taking of Lonely Mountain whose treasure is guarded by a dragon named Smaug. The brothers are part of a group of twelve dwarves that accompany Bilbo on his journey.

The pic below doesn’t show the brothers in action, but rather, is just a staged studio pic. Still, it’s better than nothing, right Hobbit fans? The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey treks into theaters December 14, 2012.
